Referrals
How to attend the CPC
- Individuals and families can ring the clinic if they or a family member is in need of psychological help. An intake clinician will discuss current concerns.
- Health Practitioners can refer clients with psychological needs, directly or via the Better Outcomes and Better Access Programs.
- Child, family, and community agencies from across the state refer clients for assessment, support, and therapy.

Typical referrals to the Clinical Psychology Centre
- Susannah (7) is finding it hard to keep up at school. This may be due to a learning difficulty or some emotional/social issue.
- Seng (43) has lost all motivation to get up to go to work. This could be because there are workplace problems or maybe that issues at home are getting him down.
- Anthony (23) is constantly worried and panicking when he has to go out of the house and doesn't know whether it is a serious problem or not. His family are very worried and need help too.
- Ray (61) has undergone surgery for a cardiovascular (heart) problem and requires assistance understanding and coping with the psychological effects of his illness.
- Tina (15) has been finding it hard to cope with her parent's separation

Fees
The CPC is committed to low-cost psychology care.
Clinical fees are negotiable and determined on a sliding scale according to capacity to pay. Referrals will also be accepted for bulk-billing under the Better Outcomes and the new Medicare Better Access Programs. Additional charges will apply for written reports. Fees for consultation, training, and project development are available on request. Some programs are fully funded by the CPC.
