Child, Adolescent, and Family Psychology Program

The Child, Adolescent and Family Psychology Program provides assessment and treatment of behavioural, social, emotional and learning problems in infants, children, adolescents and their families.

Typical referrals

  • Susannah (7) is finding it hard to keep up at school. This may be due to a learning difficulty or some emotional/social issue.

  • Tina (15) has been finding it hard to cope with her parent's separation

  • Lana (28) is struggling to care for her 2 year old Susanna. The child is not sleeping well and the whole family is finding it hard to cope.

Program Consultants

Dr Wendy Crouch, clinical psychologist, has extensive experience in child and adolescent assessment and therapy. She co-ordinates the child, adolescent and family specialisation in the Doctor of Psychology (Clinical) program.

Dr Grace Couchman, psychologist and family therapist is a senior lecturer and clinician with extensive expertise in systemic child, adolescent and family assessment and therapies.

Both Wendy and Grace are consultants to the Children's Court Clinic - Melbourne.
